Shipping Information |
We ship regionally to the following states: Alabama, Arkansas, Connecticut, Delaware, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Vermont, Virginia, West Virginia, and Wisconsin. We process orders year-round for states in zones 7 and 8 (Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Virginia). If you live in one of the year-round delivery states, you can request a delay at checkout.
We ship quasi-bareroot, landscape-ready perennials. During the packaging process, blooms and soil are removed. Stems and roots may be trimmed as well. We fulfill orders on a first-come-first-serve basis, in the least number of boxes, and use 2- to 3-day USPS Priority Mail to reduce plant stress. Priority Mail coupled with the resilience of native plants allows us to ship right through the hot summer months. We do not have the ability to communicate with your USPS carrier. Please speak with your carrier directly if you require a specific area for delivery. Your order can be delayed due to dormancy, demand, availability and fulfillment capacity. There can be a significant delay in spring when demand is high. We pull and package as fast as humanly possible. Please keep in mind, we do not provide status updates. If you are cannot wait for your plants, let us know and we will cancel your order. Orders cannot be cancelled once plants are pulled for shipping. If one or two plants are significantly delayed when the balance of your order is ready to go, we will generate a refund for those plants. If you would like us to make a substitution, please type a detailed note at checkout. New plants to the store may not be available until late spring, summer or fall. Important Note: Native plants are extremely resilient and handle the transition well. However, to avoid additional stress, we limit the number of plants per box to nine. Orders with more than nine plants require additional boxes, which causes our shipping cost to jump. We could offer "free" shipping but then our plant prices would have to go up and our North Carolina customers would be supplementing the cost of those shipments to Wisconsin (we love you, Wisconsin!). We recommend ordering 9 plants or in multiples of 3 to receive the biggest bang for your shipping buck. Happy Gardening!! |
